a lady confused

my name is DeeDee. I am 25 years old and I recently bought my first home. Now over a year later we have switched HOA companies and now they send me a letter saying that I have an account balance of 8,0000. I have never missed a payment and furthermore because several owmers are not paying their monthly payments, we (the few that are paying) can not get anything done around here. I have asked the Association for records of my account, but I don't know what to do. I dish out so much money and I don't see where it is going. what can I do.

Identify your city, state, whether you are in a condominium association or actual homeowner association, and the name of the management company.
