Linda Miller, the community services manager for Bonita Bay Community Association, earned the Professional Community Association Manager designation, the highest professional recognition available nationwide.
The Community Associations Institute grants the designation to those who specialize in community association management and meet specific training requirements and professional criteria.
Miller is one of only 108 members in Florida to hold the PCAM designation.
In addition to successfully completing advanced course work, a PCAM candidate must be a Certified Manager of Community Associations and Association Management Specialist, have at least five years of experience in community association management, complete a case study and comply with a professional code of ethics.
Miller’s case study subject was Celebration, the master-planned community developed by The Walt Disney Company.
Miller joined Bonita Bay as resident services administrator in 1999. She was promoted to community services manager in 2001 and manages the office as well as the staff responsible for the care and upkeep of common areas throughout the 2,400-acre Bonita Bay community. She holds a State of Florida Community Association Managers license and is a member of the South Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Associations Institute.
