NY Vigilante Keeps Tabs On Law-Breaking Cops
In the last couple of weeks, New York City police officers have come under scrutiny for a couple of videos that surfaced on the Internet.
First there was an officer shoving a man off his bike. Then a second video showed police beating a suspect with a baton.
These are serious issues that the police are investigating, but one man wants the NYPD to look at another problem plaguing the department -- illegal parking by law enforcement vehicles.
The man calls himself "Jimmy Justice," and he roams the streets of New York in search of law enforcement officers who are breaking the law. He targets illegally parked city government vehicles -- especially, cars of traffic cops blocking fire hydrants, bus stops, sitting in "no parking" zones or double-parked.
He posts his videos on YouTube and sends e-mails to the union representing the city's traffic enforcement agents, pointing out the parking offenses. Some parking enforcers have even been fined because of his videos.
Check out Jimmy's latest video catching city vehicles parked in front of fire hydrants.
